Client: Cardboard Citizens
Cardboard Citizens create theatre with, and for, homeless and socially excluded people. These life-changing stories are performed on stage but also in hostels, prisons and on the street. Their creative hub also provides an opportunity for people to develop a sense of community as well as gain skills, confidence and training.
For the main fundraiser of their calendar—held biennially and in 2016 celebrating their 25th year—I worked with the development team to create concept artwork based on a “get together”.
I created a visual identity for the event, focussing on the informal and untraditional ethos of the organisation but with the right amount of gravitas to reflect their ambassador, and host on the night, Kate Winslet.

The orange and pink were used to light the venue throughout the evening, providing a warm, vibrant and suitably dramatic atmosphere.
Peter worked with understanding and creativity to help us realise the theme for our event and was flexible and supportive at a very busy and stressful time in the lead up to the big day. We were delighted with the effort and attention to detail.
